Professor is the highest academic field which you can enjoy. In most of the countries it is the topmost academic position in universities and most probably they are either head of the department or deputy head of department. Apart of taking academic classes they too have some other prestigious responsibilities as well. You can assume that the position of professor is very respectful one and all the members of any society do respect them.

The tasks which the professors have to perform are as follows:

• He is responsible for conducting the seminars as well as lectures on various subjects in basic fields as well as applied fields like engineering.
• They are also involved in researches in their respective fields.
• They also provide consulting services like advising the government as well as the non profit organizations.
• They also teach the campus based courses with the help of industrial technology to make sure that the students can cope up with the market when they are the pass outs.
• They can also do the managerial as well as the administrative functions.

The question arises that what are the advantages of being a professor? In fact there are so many advantages that you can talk about them for hours. I would list some of them for you.

They are as following:

1. The first advantage which I find in becoming the professor is that you get the chance to share your feelings and ideas on your favorite topics. You to get the chance to talk to a class full of students. And you are too lucky because you are able to change the lives of some of the students.
2. Some people are really not made for the corporate world. They love studies and hence the academic career is better for them than the corporate world. If this is the case then you are quiet lucky to become the professor.
3. You do not have to work on the mindless projects of the middle projects for long. You get the chance to think of the new ideas every new day.
4. You get some great chances to travel as well. You might be a professor at Harvard University and you may be called to spend few days at Napier in New Zealand.
5. One more advantage which comes to my mind is the long summer breaks as well as the vacations. You hardly get these kinds of holidays in case of the corporate world. But as a professor you do enjoy these facilities.

Apart from all this you must know that you as a professor are in a prestigious profession and all of the society members will definitely respect and not to forget the love of the students.
