Resume writing is very essential for applying in the companies and resume is the thing through which your personality and qualities are judged by the recruiter. Perfect resume can easily impress the recruiter and can help in getting opportunities in prestigious companies.

  1. Always write the resume highlighting your qualification, skills, qualities, experience and your personal details for further contact. Job seekers often write irrelevant details which should be avoided.
  2. Don’t send the same resume for applying in different jobs. Change the matter according to the demand of the company. It is often noticed that same resume is sent to different companies for applying for the vacancies but every company has different criteria and vision for hiring.
  3. Avoid the grammatical mistakes which can spoil your image and give a question mark on your reading and writing skills. Job hunters don’t review the resume which leads to errors.
  4. Writing content in objective is often unattractive and it does not catch the eye of the recruiter. Try to write effective objective which impress the recruiter in starting. Follow certain format by doing research on internet.
  5. Use a nice font for writing your resume. Don’t use different fonts in same resume because can leave bad impression and it can look unprofessional creative skill. Choose the font which is easy to read and is clear.
  6. If you experience in different companies or you have worked for long time in the company then mention in detail about the specialization you have acquired by work experience. Highlight the projects undertaken by you and other accomplishments in your job.
  7. Mentioning of references is preferred by the professionals and it gives competitive edge over others but try to give reference of the person who is closer to you and can tell about you in impressive and perfect manner. Mentioning the name of eminent personalities without personal relations should be avoided.
  8. There is no need to use superlatives and useless acronyms in your resume. Often people mention the words which are not preferred for professional jobs. May be you are excellent performer but it can be judged through your resume and no need to write self praising words.
